CURRICULUM

CK Institute of Mangement, Coimbatore offers MBA program of Bharathiar University (CPOP) , which has been designed to equip a student to respond to the complex business environment. In addition a number of value added programs in ERP , Softskills and Industry vertical based electives, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Project Management etc, are offered to make th students employable.

Our curriculum grew out of our conviction that, in education as in business, leadership belongs to those who reject the comfort of the status quo. Therefore, the curriculum is one that encourages freedom of choice and experimentation. In addition to the analytic rigor you would expect from CKIM, we offer a sharp focus on actual business problems, through intensive internships and real life problem solving sessions to practice skills of leadership and to connect with the real business world.

The MBA at CKIM Coimbatore is of a 2 Year – 4 Semester pattern Course, which students can take at flexible convenient timings. Before the students start their Term 1, they will undergo a Special Orientation and Normalisation Course of 2 weeks duration. During the first 2 semesters,they will be focusing on Core-papers, a blend of functional areas and general management and policy areas. During the 3rd semester they will work on Functional and Industrial Specialization. During the 4th semester they will concentrate on application of the theory into doing the dissertation,followed by a Viva test. At the end of Year 1, they will also do their Summer Project, in an industry or business.

PEDAGOGY

Since the emphasis of this course is on employability skills, entrepreneurship and ability to apply management theories into the real time problems in business the teaching methods include – Lectures, Case studies, Group Discussions, Business Games, Role-plays, Seminars and Team work. The program integrates the use of latest technology available on imparting the various concepts of management. Further it helps in developing their interpersonal and leadership skills and above all it activates the most important , students gain immense knowledge on the Business analytics.
